Each of Canada’s provinces has developed its own Provincial Nominee Program with various options for Canada immigration for individuals looking to immigrate and settle in a specific province in Canada. The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP), formerly the Alberta Provincial Nominee Program, is designed to attract foreign nationals who will support and contribute to Alberta’s growing economic need. Individuals nominated by the Alberta Provincial Government, along with their spouse/common-law partner and/or dependent children can apply for permanent resident status. The Alberta Provincial Nominee Program has several streams under which one may apply for immigration to Canada.
Important:
In response to current job market conditions, the AINP is currently not accepting applications under the U.S. Visa Holder Category and the Family Stream. These programs are on hold until further notice.
Program Requirements:
Eligible candidates can apply on their own without their employers. The new Alberta Work Experience Category of the AINP allows eligible foreign workers apply to nominate themselves for permanent residency. Under the new Alberta Work Experience Category, you do not need your employer to apply with you or receive the nomination. You must, however, have a minimum of two (2) years of Alberta work experience in one of the eligible occupations.
Is your occupation on the AINP Eligible Occupations List?
Are you currently living in Alberta?
Have you worked in Alberta for at least 2 years?
Give us a call or fill out the form on your right with your information and one of our immigration consultants will contact you to determine if you meet the requirements of the new Alberta Work Experience Category.
